but a faithful man who can find?
What a profound statement concerning so many married people in today's world. How many married men and women claim to love each other? In fact, how many claim vows of unfailing love such as "until death do we part?"
Yet how difficult will it be at the end of days to find the faithful among those who made the claim? This is something deep and hard to consider as I am about to get married. My marriage is not only a wonderful union but a testing ground for Hannah's and my own faithfulness.
Our upcoming "I do's" I think are so often misspoken words. I would rather instead of the dialog:
"Do you take this person as your husband/wife? I do"
it ought to be:
"Will you take this person as your husband/wife (every day, no matter what)? I will"
Just a thought. Faithfulness is proven, not stated.
I'll try to post some of the things I'm learning about marriage from seminary. It's good stuff.
